Teal-Mustard Half-Half Desi Tussar with Floral Block Print
Two halves, two moods, one saree. This is a half-half design in desi tussar, the body split cleanly down its length, teal silk holding one side in quiet, unbroken colour, its slubby raw texture catching light the way only real tussar can, while the other half breaks into a dense floral field, marigold, purple, and green blooms pressed close together on a mustard ground, block printed until barely a sliver of background shows through.
The border carries its own conversation, a slim medallion strip in dusty rose and cream running the full length, disciplined where the body is loud. The pallu gathers both halves into a final statement, teal folding into the printed floral once more, finished with a paisley motif band and a woven wheel-and-vine border before the fringe takes over, loose and undone, the way handloom edges are meant to end.
This is a saree that asks to be draped with intention, teal forward for one mood, the printed float turned out for another, two sarees essentially living inside one length of desi tussar.
